Where It All Began
A1 Taste Catering was created in 2021 out of a passion for astonishing food and service. We are an epicure, Southern food catering business located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Our distinctive, classic dishes with a special touch along with a special touch makes us unique. We specialize in weddings, private dinners, corporate events, parties and luxury picnics. Our goal is to bring an upscale, tasteful and stylish catering experience to you.

Angel Hampton-Fowler
Chef A1 came from humble beginnings. Being raised by a single mother, she spent most of her time in the kitchen with her sisters, where they prepared meals for each other. She soon developed a love for cooking. She is a proud native of Orangeburg, SC. Angel is a graduate of South Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. Not knowing much about culinary school at the time led her to pursue a degree in her favorite subject mathematics. After graduating, she became a Math Instructor. Not long after, her passion for cooking and satisfying others led her to pursue another career as a Chef. Chef A1’s approach to cooking could be described as elegant simultaneously and comforting yet refined. She has always enjoyed cooking for family and friends while receiving good feedback after satisfying their taste buds. Removing fear allowed her to start her catering business in April of 2021. What was once a passion turned into a successful career.
